BOB FRETZ
Project Executive
Construction is in Bob’s blood. He was born into a construction family, and construction is the one thing he always wanted to do. For him, the reward is the gratification of working with exceptional teams to deliver buildings that make a difference in people’s lives.
Now, with 40+ years in the industry, Bob has done a bit of everything in construction, from cost estimating to close-out. His role at Paradigm is Project Executive, effectively meaning he is involved in all aspects of project delivery. Project teams value Bob’s effective and candid communication to solve the inevitable challenges of building multi-million dollar projects.
Thanks to a lifetime and an entire career in Houston, Bob has deep relationships throughout the development and design community. He came up through the industry at a time when business was done on a handshake. Bob’s approach to client development and management is rooted in that philosophy: honor your commitments.
In addition to project commitments, Bob is dedicated to industry service. He has served on the boards of Preservation Houston, the Rice Design Alliance, the YMCA of Greater Houston, the Lighthouse of Houston (as Board Chair), and AGC Houston. He also served as President of both AGC Houston and the AGC Texas Building Branch.
Many Houstonians consider rooting for the Astros to be a pastime. For Bob, the Astros are the productive distraction that keeps him focused on work. From the time spring training starts until the last out of the season – Holy Toledo! Bob is all in on the Astros.
